Reiki in Buckinghamshire

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress and relaxation that also promotes
well being. It is a form of hands-on therapy that originated in ancient Tibet.

It was re-discovered at the turn of the 19th century by a Japanese Doctor, Dr. Mikao Usui. The practitioner works with the comfort and warmth of touch - holding their hands directly on or above the body - the recipient is always fully clothed. The practice of Reiki does not contravene any religious beliefs and is a safe and gentle therapy.

The literal translation of REIKI is “Universal Life Force Energy”.
REI-means “spirit, soul, and spiritual consciousness” KI-means “life force energy”. In Reiki theory, "Life force energy" is believed to exist in all living things: animals, plants, crystals, trees, fish, etc. This "life force energy" is also believed to flow through and to surround our physical body. The harmonious flow and amount of this energy is seen as essential to our health and well-being. Reiki theory believes that ill health may be connected to a lack of flow or deficiency in this energy. and that the practice of Reiki can support the quality and movement of our energy.

Reiki is very relaxing to receive, it can support our wellbeing at a mental, physical and emotional level and gently ease stress.
