Osteopathy in Buckinghamshire

Osteopaths treat diseases and abnormalities by manipulating joints and soft tissues of the body, by using gentle muscle relaxation and joint articulatory techniques combines and with specific joint mobilizations. The main emphasis remains on keeping the body in structural balance so that it can heal itself. Osteopaths, using their accurate palpatory skills, determine joint mobility and muscle tensions, and diagnose the exact tissue or part of the joint which is producing symptoms either locally or via the nervous system.

"Osteopathic technique is governed by and through the intelligent application of the intelligent sense of touch"

Cranial Osteopathy , which uses very gentle pressure at the base of the neck and skull is an integral part of Osteopathic treatment.

All Osteopaths working at the Orchard Clinic graduated from the British School of Osteopathy (B.S.O.) after a 4 year full time course and are members of the General Osteopathic Council (G.O.C.)
